Rainy Day Beef, Tomato and Macaroni Soup
1 box (16 oz.) elbow macaroni
5 cups beef broth
1 cup of water
2 beef bullion cubes
1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 cans of italian seasoned diced or stewed tomatoes
1 lb. of ground beef
2 yellow onions, diced
4 cloves of garlic, finely diced
Salt, pepper
1 tbsp of Montreal Steak seasoning
1 tbsp of Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, thyme mix)
Brown ground beef and onion in a pan. Meanwhile combine the beef broth, tomatoes, worcestershire sauce, diced garlic, brown sugar, steak seasoning, salt, pepper, italian seasoning, water and bullion cubes in a stock pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cover. When ground beef is done, add to the stock pot and return the cover. Simmer for 20 minutes. While simmering, boil the macaroni until just al dente and add to the soup. Continue to simmer another 15 minutes after the macaroni is added.
